29 CFR 1926.501(b)(4)(i): Each employee on walking/working surfaces was not protected from falling through holes (including skylights), more than six feet (1.8 m) above lower levels, by personal fall arrest systems, covers, or guardrail systems erected around such holes. a) Port of Mobile: Pier 7 Between Gates 19&20: On or about September 24, 2024, and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed subcontracted employees to fall hazards of approximately 29 feet to the lower level, in that adequate fall protection was not utilized by employees performing roof repairs and cutting holes into the roof. |
