I received communication that I owed a debt to an old apartment complex I stayed in for only a month. I left the place because of their lack of security, roach infestation and loud obnoxious neighbors. I went to court because they said I had not paid my rent. I had money orders etc to show it was paid yet they still sought legal action against me. I responded to the judge and explained the situation thoroughly. The judge then waited the allotted time for the lawyers to respond and they never did. The case was then dropped due to lack of prosecution. I found out later when applying for a job that the apartment complex sold the assumed debt to a third party debt collection agency. I sent over the court documents showing the case never had a judgment placed on me yet they still try and pursue payment. I submitted documents to the credit bureaus and all debt was removed from my credit reports. This month I tried applying for a loan and was denied because a eviction showed up on my credit report. I need this stressful situation resolved because they are causing me undo stress as well as embarrassment.

XX/XX/2022 The attorney representing the apartment complex and I settled this matter in evictions court. The attorney stated that his client ( XXXX XXXX ) and himself is not seeking any money but is seeking possession of the premise. I agreed to surrender control of the apartment in return for no money judgment. I tried several times to pay the amount that was past due before going to Eviction Court, but each attempt was refused. Information is incorrect and currently reporting incorrect on credit report. According to Florida statue 83.48, I am not responsible for the attorney fees due to eviction case being dismissed and no judgement amount was set. Also, the fees being charged were supposed to be collected before move in so I would like proof that those fees were not collected. As for water, I would also like an itemized statement for usage of water. While this information is being updated, I think its very important to remove from my credit report until the balance is properly updated.

The collection agency is collecting for an apartment complex that I rented but I never lived in. I moved into the apartment in XXXX XXXX XXXX and my job sent me to California from XXXX to XXXX to XXXX XXXX. I never moved any furniture in and told the complex that I would be cancelling my lease in XXXX XXXX I knew. I would have to pay for breaking the lease but they added all kinds of fees for cleaning and repairs that could n't have been made. When asked for debt validation, the collection agency just mailed me a lease and a list of charges. The agency also continues to report the debt as late with all three credit bureaus.

There is a collection on my credit report from an apartment in Tennessee. I do not live in Tennessee. When I call the collection company they tell me they can't pull anything up with name or social security number. I tried to dispute it with XXXX and they were able to '' verify '' the debt with the company. But no one at the company can give me any information. This is not my debt. I live in Alabama. I am trying to buy a house and desperately need this off of my credit report. No one can even tell me what I need to do. I tried contacting the apartment complex and was told that it is under new ownership.

Pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), 15 U.S.C. 1692g I am requesting that this company provide me with the following information to validate this debt : 1.
