After we sent in the XXXX packet, instead of getting assistance with our mortgage payments, we were told our mortgage payments would increase due to escrow going up. I asked for information as to how that's possible when our payments should decrease due to being tax exempt. Planet Home Lending has done nothing to help us fix the issue that they created in the first place. We sent them everything they requested and instead of helping us, they denied our application. We did everything they asked of us and they increase our payment, charging us late fees, and have yet to tell us why. There are numerous complaints about this company on the XXXX website and they continue to ignore the consumer, interrupt when the consumer is trying to give information, fails to communicate with other departments, do not return phone calls to consumers, and lie. We were told we would have only one point of contact but when requesting that person they aren't available and we are forced to speak with someone who has no clue about our account, refuses to read comments, and sends the call to a csr that tells me I need to talk to the department that transfered me. Please, someone please, take any accounts that are government backed mortgages away from this servicer. Please do not allow them to purchase any loans and please make them stop the way they do business. They need to be looked into for violations of the Fair Dept Collections Act.

I closed on my house XX/XX/year> with XXXX XXXX serviced by shellpoint. Planet Home Lending contacted me telling me that they had purchased my loan. The process seemed like a scam because they kept asking for my full social security number. I called XXXX XXXX and they assured me that my loan had not been sold to Planet. On XX/XX/year>, I made a {$2000.00} payment so that my loan would be paid ahead because I wasnt due to start paying until XX/XX/year>. My payment was applied as shown on their customer portal page. It then displayed my loan was sold on XX/XX/year>. I then called XXXXXXXX XXXX and they again assured me my loan had not been sold. Toward the end of XXXX I got a letter from XXXXXXXX XXXX stating my loan had been sold. I call them to verify and they said yes it had been. I set up my customer account for Planet. I say that I was due XX/XX/year>. I called them to tell them I had already made that payment and it should have transferred with my account since it was paid XXXX hours before the posted sell of my account. They stated they didnt know anything about it. That I needed to correct the mistake. I explained to them that I didnt work for their company and they could call XXXXXXXX XXXX to get the error corrected. Today I looked online and seen that my payment was still due so I made another {$2000.00} payment because I dont want my payments to report late and I do not want to default on my mortgage. After I made my payment it popped up a payment history box that shows that a suspense payment of {$2000.00} was posted XX/XX/XXXX but not applied to my account. Now I have double paid the XXXX payment and its not like {$4000.00} total is chump change to just be throwing around.

I attempted to apply for an assumable FHA backed mortgage on XX/XX/2024, calling their loan servicing department. I was then " transferred '' to to the loan assumption department, which was a hold that lasted 20 minutes before I gave up.
I then called their new loans department on XX/XX/2024 and was told that the seller needed to initiate the process. When the seller and their agent called to initiate the process, they were told the buyer needs to initiate the process. The run around we got caused the seller to take the loan assumption off the table resulting in the deal falling through. Their local office is permanently shuttered, so getting answers in person was impossible.

On XX/XX/2023 I called our loan servicer and asked to speak with someone who could help us with our loan due to my wife and I both having XXXX twice and me with long term effects. I was offered a 90 day forbearance and told no payment would have to be made until XX/XX/2023. I asked if XXXX 's payment included and was assured that XXXX - XXXX payments were covered. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a default notice from Planet Home Lending. I called and was advised that the covid forbearance ended XX/XX/XXXX at sundown. We never were sent anything advising us that Planet Home Lending denied the forbearance on XX/XX/XXXX. We were never late on any payment or have missed any payment until Planet Home Lending guaranteed us a forbearance, and they have refused to accept their responsibility, have threatened us with foreclosure, have been very unprofessional by threatening us and constantly calling my wife at work after they were advised that she can't have personal calls during work. We were denied our lender information and when we asked for copies of our phone recordings since XX/XX/XXXX, we were told we would need a subpoena. We were told that they would pull the phone records and investigate if they did guarantee our forbearance and a manager would be in contact with us. No manager has contacted us. I've had to request a manager only to be put on hold for long periods of time and then be transfered to another collector. We received a notice that Planet Home Lending could start foreclosure proceedings on our home and to contact XXXX XXXX who is now to be our single point of contact however, we receive calls from collectors asking why we are in default and refusing to transfer the call to XXXX XXXX and again start with threats of damaging our credit and loss of our Home.

I have been traveling a lot for work. While I was abroad for work, my bank I had been paying my bills from, closed the account for security because I used the connected debit card abroad, and physically mailed me cashier checks. Checks I could not access as I was abroad for work. Payments got missed. Planet Home offered loan restructuring. I had to make three equal payments at the new price. When I had successfully made those payments, they sent me the paperwork to sign, but I was not home. So I asked them prepare and email me a copy of that paperwork. They said I had a very small window ( 24-48 hours ) to sign and have it in a prepaid fedex label.
I complied with all of these.
I called to make my payment in XXXX, and they told me a payment was not due that month as the loan had been restructured. This was roughly the twentieth of XXXX, long after the delivery of the documents.
In XXXX I called to make my monthly payment, they said I owed XXXX dollars, more or less.
Upon their explanation, they said that my paper was not valid because I used a digital notary service. Which was made legal by senate bill 275. A horrible technicality.
They said they resent the documents but I didn't respond in time so the restructuring was no longer an option. I said I had check my ring door bell footage and no such delivery had been made, and I also stated it wasn't fair because I had requested that email be the main source of communication, as my work requires my constant traveling. The representative put me on hold. When they came back on the line, they said that they would be preparing the documents for me again, and emailing them to me, as I did in fact request to be sent and corresponded with via email. They said that I would receive it in one week which was three weeks ago. I have not heard anything, and I feel that I am being unfairly treated in regards to my home. I want to resolve this issue, but that are not cooperating. I do not want to lose my home because they are not doing as they say.
I also have the call recorded where they said they would email me the documents.

Im writing to file a complaint against Planet Home Lending because theyre incorrectly reporting late payment to the credit bureaus while Im enrolled in a XXXX recovery modification plan. This is unfair and has seriously impacted my credit, despite the fact that Ive been following all the terms of the agreement.
Details of the Issue : Loan Servicer : Planet Home Lending Date of Enrollment in XXXX Recovery Modification : XX/XX/year> What Happened : I signed up for a XXXX recovery modification with Planet Home Lending on XX/XX/year>. Since then, Ive made every payment according to the plans terms. I was told that as long as I made these payments, my account would be reported as " current. '' But Planet Home Lending is still reporting late payments to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, which is unfair and hurting my credit score.
Documentation I Have : A copy of my XXXX recovery modification agreement.
Payment receipts that show Ive paid on time, according to the agreement.
A copy of my recent credit report showing the incorrect late payment entries.
What I Want : I need the CFPBs help to get Planet Home Lending to fix this. I want them to update my account status to " current '' on all credit reports and stop reporting these late payments. I also want an explanation from them about why this happened and a guarantee that they wont do it again.
This has caused me a lot of stress and financial problems, and its affecting my ability to get credit. I need this resolved quickly so I can move forward without this hanging over me.

This particular account situation that is lately filing on my own credit document has a seriously unfavorable relation to my personal ability to obtain a present loan application. I highly recommend you generate verification that PHL has been reported completely in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations, it's really a serious problem to mis-report. Moreconfirmation of the aforesaid item too. My proper request mustover, I was never 30 days/60 days/120 days late in any of my payments and I'm not greatly tuned in to the date opened so I prefer to ask you be investigated as soon as possible and confirmed to be correct.
