around XX/XX/2022, i login my carrington mortgage account to ensure that XXXX payment was received and i notice that carrington mortgage did not apply the payment but they accepted the payment so i called and ask why is the payment my payment was in suspense and ask for them to do their job and post the payment to my account. after talking to the rep for about 40 min the rep but my request in and they the remove the payment from suspense status and applied it to XXXX payment. now they want to report that i was late but i wasnt late. its XXXX percent their fault for not applying the payment. i as the rep to ensure that it will not report on my credit and she ensure me that it wasnt.

I have been in touch with Carrington mortgage company several times this month ( XX/XX/2023 ) I called on the 7 to make a payment and they refused to collect a payment, I called again to make another and they refused to take payment. The company stated they want a full payment or nothing at all. I could not come up with XXXX on the spot, I can make a regular payment several times this month to fix the late payments enough times to get me caught up. So I collected the money up to pay the XXXX at once I called today ( XX/XX/2023 ) carrington refused my payment again and stated that they will only accept through XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX. This makes me really uneasy because unlike XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX I can track when the money is taken out of my account who it went to at what time. So now Im forced to do it through these companies because they are certified and they trust these funds over my actual bank account. XXXX the first rep try explaining why its better but I failed to understand how it is better, then the supervisor named XXXX was very very insist on just XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX. They applied a balance that I have that is XXXX so the full payment will be XXXX. I have had two mortgage companies prior to this company and was never told I HAD to use certified funds to make a payment let alone be denied ever in making any payment when behind. Im conflicted on sending it.

Carrington is making things difficult for me about an insurance check for the repairs on my house. The check is made to me first and then Carrington. XXXX is real rude toward me she disconnects the phone during business hours she is very unprofessional. They want to keep the money for themselves and do as they please with it. While I need to fix the repairs. They want to put the money and they decided when to give me the money. I was lied to by this one Carrington employee when this woman e-mailed me an information packet. I paid {$39.00} to overnight the check now they refuse to sign it and have mailed the check back. XXXX refuses to speak to me being a brat and very unprofessional.. Then she thinks she is going to sick a male on me. To bully me. She is handling this but refuses to speak with me.
I am being abused and discriminated against because I am a single widow female who isn't married & they think that they can treat me like garbage.

The loss department is going against the bankruptcy department, that they do sign insurance checks even though the home owner is under bankruptcy. They still let the home owner have the money back to repair their house. It took 4 months for my insurance to give me this money. My health is also being documented by my doctor 's office. My XXXX XXXX is XXXX and my XXXX is getting worse with the mold smell. They want to keep making up lies that the bankruptcy department told me wrong information. I am not signing the check for them to keep and not send it back to me. Now their new excuse is I'm under bankruptcy why won't sign it back to me. It's just pure harassment sexism, discrimination gender discrimination because I'm a female. I have experienced gender harassment my whole life from mortgage companies. Carrington is being downright cruel and inhumane to me.

The banks website autopay misleads you into thinking that you can delay your payment a few days and it will still be paid. Instead they cancel that months payment and change the next payments date. This makes you late and they charge fees and it impacts your credit. I believe this is intentional.

I refinanced my home with XXXX XXXX XXXX bank in 2012. They sold my mortgage to Carrington Mortgage company about a year ago. I have always paid more than the amount of the note when I pay my mortgage with the understanding that the extra money be applied to the principal on my mortgage. In XXXX Carrington misapplied the additional funds that I sent and applied them to the following month payment. I called them about this and they attempted to correct it but they didn't do it correctly. The same thing happened in XXXX. This time I wrote them a letter. They sent back a form letter promising to correct it by XX/XX/XXXX. They did not. Then, in XXXX, they did the same thing. This time I sent a certified letter. They sent a form letter ( identical the the first response except for the date ) promising resolution by XX/XX/XXXX. I am refinancing my house. Carrington 's errors have resulted in an over charge of interest and escrow money of approximately {$1000.00} to my account. I need their errors corrected and an ACCURATE payoff on my house.

I was trying to settle about my payment history when someone in their bankruptcy department and this foreign speaking guy who was very rude toward me, and unprofessionally hung up on me while I was trying to explain to them that I made 4 payments for this month XX/XX/2019. If not accepting they should say not using so now have to take off and use his staffing job since he started in XX/XX/2018. As a veteran, this shouldnt happent to me or anywone else!

To the office of the Cmptroller of Currency ( OCC ) I was recommended by the U.S Department of Justice Consumer Protection Branch Civil Division of XXXX. To file a complaint with ou concerning XXXX XXXX XXXX and Carringtion Mortgage. I have proof and suspicion of fraud with these companies and I feel as if I was discriminated against by them. My home have been in foreclosure for five years since XXXX to XXXX XXXX, XXXX. We were recommended by XXXX XXXX XXXX to apply for a loanmodification to help us save our home. We applied for modifications overthree years. All of a sudden we receive a letter and a phone call from Carrington Mortage saying they want us to start mailing our mortage payments to them. We responded to Carringtonsaying We never came to an agreement on a mortage payment or modification. We were lead to believe that they wre the new owners of the property but they had no information on the property so we were lead to believe they were trying to help us to save our home by asking us our information, and we began to give them our personal information, only to find out in the end they were using our information to build their case to get the home from us. We asked them for a copy of the original deeds, and they sent us drawn up papers with our signatures that we never signed. They copied our signitures from other papers. The house was up for sale because of foreclosure Carrington then purchased the home themselves. Why would you buy a home that you already own?. We continued to live in the home, because the home was stilll in our name. Carrington then told the tax office to send our tax papers to them. Still unable to prove the home is theirs. I have proof of fraudulent use of flase documentations used against me to get my home, and contradicting every thing they 've said in the end the way thta they got my home wasw throught lying to the court saying that I did not pay taxes for XXXX. I filed for tax exemption and I was tax exempt in XXXX.

In XX/XX/XXXX, my mortgage was acquired by Carrington Morrgage Services, XXXX, California, from XXXX Mortgages. Since the acquisition, I have had nothing but unanswered problems. Beginning XX/XX/XXXX, my escrow payment was raised from approximately XXXX per month : XXXX of which was/is PMI, to XXXX. Carrington explained that XXXX was to cover a projected escrow shortage and would only continue for 12 months. My home owners insurance was XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. My tax was XXXX both years. I had no escrow shortage from the previous year ( XXXX-XXXX ). I requested an escrow analysis to explain how I could be XXXX short on my escrow when total payments from escrow for taxes, PMI, and insurance XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX would be XXXX and my escrow payin was XXXX ( a potential shortage of XXXX ). I received no answer and the woman was very rude. I have now paid XXXX to my escrow account from XX/XX/XXXX-present. Despite the 12 months time line, I am still paying the extra XXXX per month. My taxes, PMI, and insurance this year totaled XXXX. I have called XXXX times and requested a full escrow breakdown. I have yet to receive XXXX. I have absolutely no idea what my additional payments of XXXX have gone towards. In addition to this, Carrington has begun holding an overage payments I make towards principal. They hold it in an " unapploed funds account '' as a " suspense balance ''. Currently, I have XXXX in this account. I have been told they will only move those money if my account is current. Oddly, my account has been current, the funds have not been applied. I assume I am paying interest on my XXXX of principal balance. I exhausted with this company. My minimum payment rose from XXXX to XXXX, and XXXX per month raise is substantial for me as a single mother. I have paid almost XXXX to escrow this calendar year, all that has been paid out of my escrow is XXXX in PMI and insurance, yet my most recent statement shows an escrow balance of XXXX. How?!?! I can not get an answer. My XXXX requests for full escrow breakdown resulted in XXXX rude conversations with XXXX different reasons why I am paying almost XXXX per year to escrow and NO escrow breakdown. A year and a half in, I still have never gotten an escrow breakdown. Nor have I found out when and where my " suspense balance '' is applied. Please help, I beyond frustrated. I can not afford to continue paying XXXX per month on a loan of XXXX with a fixed 6.5 % rate.

I sent a check to Carrington Mortgage in XX/XX/2020 in the amount of {$360.00} ( ck # XXXX ) satisfying my XXXX payment.
Next, I got a letter from Carrington Mortgage saying my account was in Foreclosure and demanded {$810.00} dollars for the account to be current.
I promptly sent {$810.00} dollars with check # XXXX. Both Check # XXXX ( {$360.00} ) and Check # XXXX ( {$810.00} ) have cleared my bank. This puts me paying a total of {$1100.00} to pay a bill that was really only {$360.00}.
However, the 3 credit bureaus have contacted me saying that my credit score has been lowered due to a report by Carrington Mortgage.
I suspect the heart of the controversy and damage to me begins with the Carrington Mortgage Payment Processing Center. Perhaps the scheduled 2020 change in payment amounts due to the escrow shortage made the Payment processing center place my XXXX payment on some sort of hold? Has Carrington had some staffing problems with the Arizona processing site?
Please investigate this matter and treat me fairly. As stated above I have paid a total {$1100.00} on a mere {$360.00} due but because of Carringtons actions, I now have a lowered credit score.

I have been making additional principal payments on my mortgage. I send XXXX separate checks each month, because I do n't trust them. I noticed on my statement that instead of crediting me {$300.00}, they credited {$290.00}. I called them and asked about it. They noticed it on the previous month as well. They refused to accept copies of bank statements and insisted that I go to my bank and get check copies, front and back. I am sure they hoped I would just drop it. I am sure they are during this to many, if not all of their customers, which could total into XXXX dollars over time, which is why I am continuing to pursue this.

The companies involved are Carrington Mortgage Services , LLC, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX Loans. These companies have consistently charged me for FHA Mortgage Insurance over the course of my mortgage loan servicing that is different than the agreement we signed and the closing documents. They have ignored the loan closing documents and applied methods not specified anywhere my loan closing documents and in fact their methodology has resulted in FHA Insurance Premiums that are more than {$9000.00} higher than either amortization schedule ( provided shortly after closing ) or FHA Insurance Premium documents ( included in my loam closing documents ). I believe these overcharged fees are excessive, illegal and a violation of the mortgage loan closing agreement!
Carrington Mortgage 's response indicates that they do not care what the loan closing documents say. In fact, their response spelled out a method that was not mentioned or included in my loan documents. They refused to clarify why my loan documents said one thing, yet they consistently do something else every month when they charge my account!
This mortgage loan was originated by XXXX XXXX Loans in XXXX and sold the XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, who serviced it until XX/XX/XXXX. Carrington has been servicing this loan since XX/XX/XXXX.

Carrington Mortgage has now falsely reported my XX/XX/2020 payment as 30 days late. This is the third adverse retaliatory action taken against me since I attempted to exercise my rights under The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by disputing Carrington 's handling of my XX/XX/2020 payment. Currently, the 3 negligent acts taken against me include : reporting my XX/XX/2020 payment as 30 days late, reporting my XX/XX/2020 payment as 30 days late, and inflating my principal balance back up to {$48000.00}. I will gladly attach bank statements showing my cleared checks to Carrington and credit reports showing the above facts. Carrington 's actions are clearly a willful violation of Federal Law.
While the reality was that Carrington was sending these false reports ( e.g. 30 days late XXXX, and 30 days late XXXX ) to the credit bureaus, Carringiton would write me letters hinting that they were investigating my account history as evidenced by the following quotes in a XXXX letter : our records show that the CMS Loan Administration Support Department originally received an inquiry from you on XX/XX/2020, XX/XX/2020 and XX/XX/2020 ...
Moreover, the Loan Administration Support Department received the following Automated Credit Dispute Verifications ( ACDV ) from you : ( 1 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX ( 2 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX ( 3 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX ( 4 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX ( 5 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX ( 6 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX ( 7 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX ( 8 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX and ( 9 ) on XX/XX/2020 from XXXX..
Carrington Mortgage attempts to hint that they were diligently and accurately attempting to correct any innocuous glitches with my credit report, yet I contend they were actually creating more problems ( e.g. false claim of late XXXX payment, false claim of late XXXX payment, and inflated principal balance back up to {$48000.00} ).

I am very upset at how Carrington is forcing me to pay their attorney fee and court cost. Their attorney doesn't represent me so why should I have to pay their fee along with the court cost that they pay. Why do I have to pay them back! My first bankruptcy I didn't have to. But my second bankruptcy Carrington is trying to get all the money they can out of me! It was XXXX XXXX XXXX at first now Carrington is demanding that I pay their attorney fees! Carrington has the money to pay their own attorney! But instead, I have to add their attorney fees in my bankruptcy plan!

We applied for a mortgage with Carrington Mortgage on XX/XX/2018. I first was in touch with XXXX XXXX in the XXXX Florida office. As the weeks went by and I tried to get in touch with XXXX XXXX she no longer worked there. They then told me XXXX XXXX took over XXXX XXXX 's files. Once XXXX start taking over the file it was issues of her not returning phone calls and her having an attitude. I put up with XXXX for a month until I can no longer take her attitude and rudeness. I then told her that we no longer wanted to work with her because of her attitude and her professionalism. I explained to her that we were going through enough trying to purchase the home and didn't need anything else to stress me out. I then asked her to pass our file alone to another loan officer who will understand our needs and get the file closed. She advised me that she can not do that she will pass the file to her supervisor which is XXXX XXXX. As weeks went by I called and emailed XXXX and he never responded back. I then XXXX Carrington Mortgage and a couple of loan officers came up I called each loan officer and ask him to put me in touch with XXXX or somebody else that's a supervisor. A week later XXXX called me and said he never got the messages or the emails which I have proof I sent. XXXX advised me that he will be taking over the file to try to get the loan closed. XXXX was very nice for the first couple of days and then he started being un- professional like XXXX not returning phone calls and having an attitude. When I first applied with Carrington Mortgage I explained to them that we were victims of identity theft and someone had stole our identity as we were trying to purchase this house. They advised me that it was okay that I had a fraud affidavit and I have proof that we were a victims of identity theft and they still can close on the house. They also have asked me to turn over the owner finance house that we were living in because we could not afford two mortgages. I did what they advise and I turned the house back over to mr . XXXX which I got it notarized. Mr XXXX said he would give us a couple of months until we were able to close on the house it is now going on XXXX and we will be homeless as of XX/XX/2018. XXXX sometimes call and email my Agent but will not communicate with us as Clients. I feel it's unfair that he sometimes explain what's going on with My Agent but not us. Please help I have a XXXX year old child and I'm so scared we will become homeless on Monday XX/XX/2018.

I knew approximately 60 days I was going to be out of a job and completely out of income. I was also rapidly depleting savings. I started to reach out to my servicer, Carrington, as quickly as possible to advise them of my situation and to request a forbearance or deferral in order to help preserve my credit while Im aggressively pursuing new job opportunities.
For the last several weeks, i have submitted documentation, i have submitted letters of explanations and Im now officially late by two weeks. All I had were sporadic emails telling my loss mitigation request was missing documentation. The department REFUSED to talk to me, hear my case and I was forced to talk to 7 different customer service reps who had a variety of different versions of my assistance request. They called me to demand payment today. I told them i had repeatedly provided loss mitigation everything they needed. The rep then put me on hold spoke to the department and then came back and said that they closed my case and stated that i just default, tarnish my credit before theyll even start to consider working with me!
The VA service rep tried to help as well and they were essentially told, no assistance would be provided. Trying to be a responsible debt holder has been painful to say the least and Im in desperate need to guidance and help to have their loss mitigation stop ignoring my calls for help.
Please help me bring direction to this. I do not want i lose out home and am just asking for temporary assistance.
