I have a personal loan with this company. 1 ) They will not allow me to do any type of extension on a payment without " renewing the loan '' and taking out more money. I had to do that back in XXXX of 2022. I did not want more money, I wanted an extension for a payment. 2 ) they will not allow me to change the due date of the loan. As of right now, my due date is the XXXX ( or XXXX ) of the month. I have explained a couple of times that the first of the month is when every single thing I owe is due, but they will not change my due date, they just say " pay more next time ''. If I could double up my payments, don't you think I would? And 3 ) I have repeatedly asked them not to call me, I wish to have all communication in written form via US Mail. But, today, XX/XX/XXXX, only 1 or 2 days after my due date, not even waiting for the grace period, they started calling me again. So, my requests to the CFPB are : please tell them to stop calling me, ask them to kindly change my due date to the middle of the month and give me an extension on a payment when I need it instead of making me sign a new loan and give me more money.

Due to the struggling economy, I've hit a stomp in paying my loan. This company calls me two or three times a day and they call my references and from what they tell me it sounds like a harassment call. I'm wanting to file a Cease and Desist against Mariner Finance. I want them to understand that I will pay monthly payment when I can. I will not be able to pay it on the XXXX of each month and don't need them to call me on a daily basis and harass me on making a payment.

XXXX of 2022, I called mariner finance to figure out how much was owed to pay my loan completely off, the rep informed me that she can defer the payment for XXXX and I would be completely paid off. The rep took a future payment on recorded line and reassured me that it will be my final payment. However, it wasnt in XXXX I was harassed by several employees stating I owed XXXX $ I was unaware that it was late fees. On top of that they charged me another XXXX on top of the XXXX late fee that was owed. I had called head quarters to file a complaint ant the rep was rude and said she can not waive any late fees and I told her I was calling to complain not to be assisted. It was so bad that I had to disconnect the call. Its already bad we have payed back almost XXXX in interest charges for a loan that was on XXXX XXXX I thought it was illegal to charge a late fee on a late fee when a loan is paid in full??
