A company named Bay Area Credit Service is purchasing false debts from fraudulent companies that are selling false debts on medical patients, in my case specifically " XXXX XXXX '' their urgent care system " XXXX XXXX XXXX. Have made contact with Bay Area Credit Services on XX/XX/2020, and they no longer have my name in the debt records, however they are still trying to collect a debt that is not owed, and stated " I do not have you in any of our databases, so I can not tell you how much you owe or who the original creditor was that we bought the debt from. '' Shortly after prompting me to give them my Social Security Number. '' This company executing fraudulent practices could not be any more obvious.
How can these types of predatory business practices be allowed to exist? XXXX XXXX has a known lawsuit against them please see link below : https : XXXX

On XX/XX/XXXX, Bay Area Credit Service was informed by the attached Dispute Letter that the {$190.00} charge was incorrect and they should not report my account delinquent. They then sold my {$190.00} " collection opportunity '' to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who then reported my account as delinquent in XXXX ( SEVEN YEARS LATER ). Luckily I kept the original Dispute Letter.
