PVC plastic piping was used in exposed above ground locations to transport compressed air at approximately 80 psi. Employees use the compressed air to operate pneumatic tools to include but not limited to paint sprayers

Section 3.3.1 of the CGA Pamphlet P-1-1965 refers to storing cylinders in accordance with CGA and NFPA standards The CGA Pamplet P-1-1991 Section 3.7.4.1 states that "All compressed gas cylinders in service or in storage shall be secured to prevent from falling." a) Southern Stamping, Inc. fabrication facility: On August 15, 2022 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards in that employees were allowed to use the Mig Welder without ensuring that the Carbon Dioxide gas cylinder was secured from being knocked over. Pamphlet P-1-1965 section 3.4.4 states that before using cylinder, be sure it is properly supported to prevent it from being knocked over.
